    Well I would definately go down the pyrography route. If you need help with font style etc then you can print the wording off in word choosing the font of your choice and transfer onto the wood using graphite maper prior to burning... this will ensure that letter spacing and font is consistant.

    I have spent months and months doing all writing freehand but have just discovered graphite paper which has made a huge difference to some recent memorial plaques which I have made for commissions.

    Hi David,

    You can use Wood Engraving Machine to write on plywood. I also used that and it gives excellent results.

    Iv tries so many things. Iv found Sharpies are effective. They come in so many colours too!

    With a small laser machine.
    It costs not a lot (50 )
