I agree Andy home made is best, I cook everything from scratch because we like it and I have a severe nut allergy.

We too like plain good food, no spicy stuff here, mm a baked potato sounds good, its what we are having tomorrow. love a good potato salad and coleslaw, all made by me.

For me as a card maker Xmas starts about now. I will aim to make 2 maybe 3 Xmas cards a week till December. Sometimes I will make none one week and 4 or 5 the next but on average a couple a week. Actual Xmas doesn't start for us till the beginning of December, but for the shop around the beginning of November to get stock in.

I like to be busy but not stressed, we have organised things here so that is how it is most of the time.

I don't mind the sun, I do get a headache if my head gets too hot, a hat is required. My mixed heritage gives a good complexion for the sun and my hair although mostly grey now was very dark almost black.

Need to go and do some tidying in the guest room, catch up later.

There are some great fish & chip shops round here by all accounts - especially along Cleethorpes sea front! Fresh Grimsby fish is still available here, and we still have "delivered to your door" fish vans It's many years since we bought fish & chips from the local chippy, we usually just make them at home.
