Default Which wick for Babybel wax candles?

Hi all, complete newbie here - never made candles before. I eat loads of Babybel cheeses and have been collecting the red wax that surrounds them for ages - I now have loads!

I want to make some candles with the wax, but I have no idea which kind of wick I need to buy. I did buy some wick from a Chinese seller on eBay and made a couple of small test candles, but the wick simply burnt away after a few seconds and was useless.

Can anyone recommend which wick I should be using please?

    Many thanks,

    Andie

PS This is the wick I bought - supposedly cotton and 2.5mm, although it's more like 1mm, I'd say.
