    Morning All

Hot already so not much planned today apart from researching all my old journals and notebooks. Love to sit and go back through them and you never know may find an idea or 2.

Dog not being walked today he can have a run round the garden early, as shady atm, then he has to behave in the cool like his owners.

Completed the origami bags yesterday and did the hand sewing, buttons etc in the garden.

What have you got planned today Linda, Mo, Dave and Lily?

Morning all. Hot and sunny already. National forecast said a bit of rain around here today, but local Met Office forecast shows bright and sunny all day and no sign of rain.

Yesterday - lots of stuff kicked off on the village fb group (I was a mod for a few months, then things kicked off earlier this week and management changed), the new management deserted en masse after a matter of days so the previous team (including me) are back, but there is a lot of personal attack, sarcastic comments and antagonism going on. We're trying to repair the damage done to the feeling and look of the group by the previous transitory admins and mods whilst coping with the nastiness. Have to say we've also had a few lovely messages and comments of support.
I did, however, get my stuff packed ready for tomorrow's event, popped round to brother's, sorted bagged and froze the 2kg of blackberries from Wednesday evening, cleared the vegetation I chopped down and picked another kg of blackberries and got them in the freezer.

Today, more keeping an eye on things on the fb group, I have blackberry vinegar to finish off, but need to wait for the delivery of jars and bottles due today; if necessary the vinegar can wait a couple of days. Haven't done the stock list for tomorrow as printer is awaiting a toner cartridge, so will hand write it this time. Other parcels are also due today, so I'll be pottering around at the front of the house doing odd bits of clearing and cleaning.

Have a relaxing day everyone and if you have to work, don't forget to keep hydrated and stay as cool as possible.
How is the cat Lilly - any improvement on yesterday?

    Morning all,
Glad to hear you have sensible things planned for a hot day. Its lovely at the moment warm, cool breeze (as I describe in my reply to the topic about crafting in the heat) my desk is ideally placed to be nice to work at.

The cat is actually better today, improved quite a lot yesterday, was a bit worried, but he is looking better today., off to the vets this afternoon so we know more then.

Going to do some more washing, take advantage of this sun and do lots of "spring cleaning" washing curtains and the like over the next week or so.

    More work on boxes today.

Hope tomorrows event goes well Linda. Hope your journal browsing sparks an idea or 2 Caroline.

    Hello all,

Back from the vets, blood pressure ok, advice is to see how he goes prognosis is likely to be good. Sometimes they can have a mini stroke for no underlying reason apart from age.

He has been given some supplements to help with his diet and brain function. In a couple of weeks might take him in for a heart scan to eliminate that.

    So on wards and upwards.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

That's excellent news; I hope the improvement continues.

I am very concerned about our oldest moggie - we think he's about 19 or 20 - as his tummy looks quite swollen. Also his behaviour has changed. I don't know if it's because he's lost some bulk during the warm weather despite eating heartily (they both have) or if it's liver problems. It's his annual check up on Monday and I'm just hoping it's all paranoia and he's fine.

Sorry late again. No time to log on this morning as Pete had a pupil today so had to do a bit of prep.

Glad to hear your cat seems to be improving Lily and I hope that yours Linda is nothing too serious, even with his great age.

You all seem very busy and well organised. I had the joy of the shop again today, usual busy Thursday as it's market day. Managed to get some paperwork done and I have help tomorrow for a change so can get on with it again hopefully.

It was lovely to come home and be able to sit in some comfortable seating in the garden and relax a bit. Dinner was yesterdays left overs so no great cooking bonanza there to do apart from heat it up so Pete could have a bit of a chill too. No reply from the supplier of the garden furniture to the email about the missing items so maybe a word with Paypal to grab some money back until they sort it. I want what is missing, the winter covers and the parasol, not a refund so they had better pull their fingers out PDQ.

Nite nite all, will try and be a but more organised tomorrow morning.
