Morning all. Another hot day forecast for the south, but much more temperate for the east coast. Looking forward to getting back to the cooler temperatures.

Yesterday, another comparatively lazy day. Took elderly aunt out for another drive through part of the south downs but didn't stop anywhere; did a couple of small jobs for her when we got back. Out for early evening dinner at the same place as Saturday - slightly disappointed as service and food not at quite the same standard but still good. Aunt had chance to walk around the village churchyard and visit her late husband's relatives' graves. She was married here 50 years ago, but unfortunately the church itself wasn't open.

Today is going home day. Hopefully we'll be leaving her before the hottest temperatures of the day are reached and journey home will be reasonably comfortable.

How did you all cope yesterday? Hope Shiloh is still being careful and keeping to the cooler parts of the house Caroline. Did you do any crafting?
Hope you didn't have anything tiring in the way of work Dave.
Are you caught up with the various jobs Mo, hope you've been able to enjoy the garden for a few hours over the weekend.

    Morning All

Safe journey home Linda and enjoy the cool air.

Got to 84 here yesterday, just too much Shiloh was sensible though and did not move much. Managed to get another signature done for the nature journal, stitching as I go along. Two done so far. Am enjoying this even though taking a long time, still need to do the final decorations when complete but that is the fun part.

Are you in the shop today Mo? if so take it easy.

Dave is not still stuck in a loft is he?

Got to pop round the shop for some lettuce, will do now while still cool and mutt can come with us. No housework this week unless we have any visitors as far too hot.

    Have fun x

    Good Morning Crafters.

Hot already here with 30 deg by 4pm foreast. We will be melting in the shop despite the cold air blowers.

We had a lovely lunch out with friends yesterday then we sat on the patio until 10pm and did very little. Only needed an ice cream for tea so stuffed from lunch.

Pete has pupils on Wednesday and Friday this week so I'm going to be forced to do superficial housework Tuesday evening or I wouldn't be doing it either Caroline.

    Safe journey home Linda.

    Have a good day all.

    Ta-dah!
Here I am....had to work the weekend, absolute nightmare, just two if us to cover an area about 35 miles by 35!…great bit of rota planning, should be four at least... trouble with this weather is people phone in less so the jobs are further apart, 20 miles each way was not uncommon...not stuck in any lofts thank god, just sick of all the driving!....still, off tomorrow and Wednesday....roll on November 😆🤓👍🏻

Hope you got home safely Linda, well done with the journal Caroline, don’t melt away Mo xxx

Be thankful for small mercies Dave - at least you didn't have to contend with boilers in lofts yesterday

Yes, thank you, arrived home tired, but safe about 4.00pm, trip wasn't too bad at all and brother's car has air con.
