    Morning all

Had a heavy shower overnight and very dull and windy outside, also feels a bit cooler. checking the news looks like we are going to have a bumper hot summer, not sure how I feel about that as like it warm but not good if too hot. Will wait and see.

Finishing off projects today, unicorn age cards with die cuts holographic card arrived. Eiffel towers with diamantes and crystal beads. The lace arrived for the bootees and so bright not the same as the image online and wanted pastel, ordered some more trim and requested 1st class post, may arrive tomorrow. Want to clear these projects before starting too much else. Planning what the next 3 products will be and time checking I have everything before I start, lol.

    Good morning all.

Dull, windy and chilly this morning but should get better as the day rolls on apparently. Haven't seen the long range forecast Caroline but know Saturday will be wet which is a shame as Pete is at Avebury demonstrating in a gazebo. Hoe it picks up as the following weekend we are at RHS Rosemoor in Devon.

Managed to get a lot of branding of products done yesterday and the bulk of a commission pyro and inked Koi carp bowl done. Just the painting to do which hopefully I can get done tomorrow when I'm home again. Have another small pot to do to finish a little Zen Garden and wanted to get some of the Moongazing Hare key rings done but can't see that happening unless I can get on with them Sunday.

Hope your replacement supplies arrive Caroline, glad you are on a roll again. How is your back ?

Have a good day all hope the weather is better where you are.

Morning all. Dry but quite windy here - looks like it's the edge of the current storm hitting the UK. No rain forecast for today and may get some sunshine this afternoon.

Yesterday, such a different day - met up with friend at the garage where her car was being MoT'd and serviced, then we went to the local wildlife/visitor centre so she could change her jewellery display in their shop cabinet. Popped to see a mutual friend who is just setting up shop in the old tileworks which has an "artisan village" (about 6 small units in the yard behind the main building!), had a cuppa, went for a walk around the old claypits which is a wildlife haven, and a walk along the river bank. On our way back we spotted a small fluttery thing which we eventually found out was a cinnabar moth - the rich solid red colour of its wings was very distinctive. Had a walk around the small town and the local "used to be the "big house" but its now Council owned and a small museum and park", then back home. Had a good natter until people arrived to collect the sheep fleece other friends were wanting to rehome; that sorted the call came in that the car was ready so popped her back to the garage to collect. Spent the rest of the day doing more stuff for the Sunday event.

Today making lemon curd for Sunday, and having a try at sugar free lemon curd (the vegan stuff has not survived being in the freezer - taste is good texture has gone spongy so rethink on that). Rest of the day will be catching up with various jobs.

Hope you manage to get your projects completed Caroline.
Back in the shop today Mo? Glad to hear Pete has caught up with making stock for your next events.
Posted at the same time Mo. Sounds like you've been very busy too - be careful not to overdo it!
Feels like you've never been away Dave?

We seem to have permanently lost a couple of our more recent contributors - shame as it was lovely to have the company.

    Morning all.

    Dull and very windy here.

Getting very disheartened with crafting. There just hasn't been the events for the past 6 months and we have not even come close to taking pitch fees for the past 12 months.
Had notification from the organiser of an event we were booked for next month that is has been cancelled.
We have 2 events this month and that is all we have.
Looks like this weekend could be a washout judging by the weather forecast.

Looks like it could be the end for our candles.

Hope everyone is well and attending successful events.

    Later all.
    Smeg.

Things are hard atm Smeg and I always find do better early in the year and the end. In the middle nothing much moves. Plus the high street problems says it all really. Do find that having a website and Etsy is a good move, plus thinking of trying a couple of the new UK ones such as NuMonday etc.

Nice to see you here again Smeg, but very sorry to hear that the crafting situation continues to deteriorate so much for you.

I have to agree with Caroline, that most fairs in Spring and towards the end of the year tend to be better attended and sales made than during the late spring, summer and early autumn months.
