I have never used polymer clay before, and i am fascinated by the canes!

I have a question for you kind people

My main hobby is wood turning and I have seen beautiful images of polymer clay pens, where the inner brass tube of the pen is covered in polymer cane slices, turned on the lathe, and then assembled to create the pen (something i normally do in wood)

Is it possible to buy "raw" canes - not the small nail art type canes but something thicker, say about 10-15mm? I've looked online but unless they are called something completely different I can't find anything.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Search for Toni Ransfield, she does ready made pen blanks, she has all you need to know on her website. Or search for polymer clay Millefiori pen blanks. Plenty of videos on youtube.
