New Big Shot owner

My husband gave me a Big Shot for Christmas plus a few dies.
I just wondered if other members could suggest which dies are a good choice (and maybe essentials) to start building my collection.

I would suggest a set of core shapes, nested dies of circles, squares, hexagons, rectangles etc. These are what I would consider "essentials". It depends really on your taste and what you plan to make as to what other dies you buy. I would just have a look at all the popular places that sell dies and pick some that appeal to you.
I hope you enjoy die cutting as much as I do, you will have loads of fun.
