Angry Replacement for IKEA RIBBA frames

    Hi,
First of all, I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hi, having read many of threads on this forum, i'm amazed at how helpful and dedicated the users are to supporting the independent craftsmen and women.
Ikea have recently revised their IKEA RIBBA Frame range by making the front face Clear plastic rather than Glass (and increased the price ). This is a huge downer on the online craft business my wife is trying to start because glass meant quality even if the frames were inexpensive. Anyway, we now have 2 options:
    1. Find alternative supplier of Box Frames at a similar price point (not Wilko or Range as the quality isn't as good and they're more expensive)
    2. Buy sheet of glass and cut to size of the frames - less preferable.
After searching the net for hours, I've not found any trade/wholesale options that come even close to the price of the Ikea Ribba frames. so now, I'm wondering if anyone out there has managed to find an alternative supplier who can help.
    Thanks in advance!
    Alex

Hi, welcome to the forum...I only use Hobbycraft frames, Ikea’s are not a good enough quality for me, that said, I don’t use box frames....try the “Banana shed framing company”

I have started to use Hobbycraft frames too although I hate the company. The Banana Shed framing company are much more expensive but I suppose it depends on the overall value of the finished product whether you can absorb the costs.
