I bought a couple of meters of faux suede (with the other side denim) and when it arrived, it absolutely stank. After a bit of research, I found out I could get rid of the smell on a cool wash in the washing machine and that was fine. Smell is gone, except now I'm left with faded sort of crease marks on it. Is there any way of fixing this??

Did you omit the spin and drip dry? A lot fabrics do not like the spin cycle. You could also try ironing with a layer of brown paper on top of the fabric.
