    Im asking it anyway.....

So I am new to soap making, have made a few melt and pour batchs and they are okay.

Scoured t'internet for CP recipes and found a you tuber that I love watching, well okay I found a few and spent loads of hours watching...

Made a CP batch which is still curing, made it about a month ago.. looks good smells nice....

Heres the issue I have and its probably easily solved but I cant find a definitive answer

When using the soaps, they lather nicely, smell lovely BUT.. they dont leave the skin feeling smooth, more of a squeaky clean if that makes sense..
The soap feels lovely and soft when using it and creamy(ish) but my skin feels 'grippy' (is that even a word? ) thats the only way i can describe it ...lol

Anyone have the faintest idea what I mean ?? And what will help... ?

Thanks for the amazing forum and hopefully so fab responses

    Welcome to the forum.

There is no such thing as a daft question where craft is concerned. Crafting is a continual learning curve and no one can know everything about everything.

I think I understand what you are describing, but I am not a soap maker so can't offer any advice. We do have some very knowledgeable soap making members, but not everyone can visit the forum frequently so you may have to be patient and wait for a reply.

What recipe did you use? Are the soaps you are using from the batch you made four week ago?

Thanks for the Welcomes and the quick responses

I have used both the Melt and Pour and a small slither of the CP soap and they all seem the same.

    The recipe I used was
    5% Sweet Almond Oil
    10% Cocoa Butter
    20% Coconut Oil
    55% Olive Oil
    10% Shea Butter

I was going to add Kaolin Clay but forgot, would that make a difference?
