    Dear fellow Crafters
I am setting up a small craft business and I have been mulling over two business names in particular.
What are people's thoughts on my final two....
    1. The Craft Boutique
    2. The Artful Crafter
I make all sorts of handmade crafts using natural materials such as driftwood, pebbles, cork etc...

Thoughts would be much appreciated x

I think they're ok as a name, but have you considered something that reflects your use of natural materials?

I agree with Lucy - both options are OK, but they don't actually give away any clue as to what the end item(s) is.

One of my growing pet hates is (particularly on facebook) people advertising their business but the business name gives no clue what they actually do. The term craft covers a very wide range of skills and has even in some instances been used for work which many of us don't consider craft (or art).

Also, "craft" has become a widespread business these days, so a name which is a little out of the ordinary and catches attention would be desirable, although I appreciate difficult to come up with something suitable.

Having said all that, good luck with your new venture; I hope it works well for you and you continue to enjoy your craft work.

    Linda

Thank you all so much for your suggestions, I'm most grateful.
Ive done lots of homework around this topic and it does appear
that the general consensus is to have what you actually do in your
    business name.
    However I'm really struggling with this because I do different crafts with different materials;
    Driftwood, Pebbles, Cork, Upcycling etc...
I can't possibly have all of them in my title and if I only gave one of those keywords then I'm already restricting my audience.
Gosh it really is tough to come up with something suitable that incorporates all you do....
    Hmm let me keep thinking.....
    Thankyou all x

My business name does not say what I do but as this came about years ago, pre internet when you met people face to face so the name did not mean as much plus would be too much hassle to change at this stage

How about something more abstract like 'Drift' or 'Land-crafted' or something like that?
