I often point out to people that when they employ, say, a plumber, they pay his high fees without quibble. Because he has had to train for years to learn his trade. The same applies to us, plus of course we also put in loads of hours creating each piece.
When people try to haggle my prices down, I ask them how they would feel if I came to their place of work and asked them to take a pay cut...

Problem for you is what you do is quite unique and not for everyone, therefore you have a limited market. Never going to be easy making something and they trying to sell it for good profit. But then you could always use them for christmas and birthday presants.
