Can anyone help me please. I have seen a lovely idea to make a Christmas decoration with our grandchildren. It says you make a cone from a plastic bottle. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could do this please. I can't fasten the bottle with tape as it needs to be transparent, lights put under the cone so tape will show if used. Te cone is covered with tissue paper shapes and then flat beads, finished result is a beautiful Christmas tree. I don't want to buy the cones as we have 12 grandchildren so it will become costly.
    Any suggestions please.

That sounds like a lovely idea, but to be honest I doubt you'll find anything strong enough to hold the shape and still be invisible; the plastic will try to resume its original shape. Would a staple and a strategically placed flat bead work?

Maybe. I saw the idea on Pinterest but there wasn't any instructions.

I've found these, which may be somewhere to start when making your own. Silly me, I was just searching for 'clear plastic cones' having never heard of doll cones!

Thank you so much for your help. I've seen somewhere that you can use a heat gun to soften the plastic!!

I have found a tutorial on YouTube for how to make a Christmas tree from a plastic bottle. It's smaller than what I want but the principle is good. They used a glue gun.

I was wondering about a glue gun too! Hope you get a good result; you have to get it right first time with them...
