    Flame Off 2016 - 16th & 17th April 2016

Over the last seven years we have brought hundreds of glass bead makers together in 2 halls over one weekend to play with glass and fire (sounds like a safety officers nightmare!)

Ever wondered how some of the top artists work things like fine stringers? or what their encasing techniques are?

Upstairs in the top hall we have the best worldwide lamp work artists demonstrating in front of cameras which seats 150 people, those images are beamed onto large high definition screens making it very easy to watch without missing any important details. Each artist demonstrates for 45 minuites each day, right in front of your eyes, an experience not to be missed.
Downstairs there is a sales area with traders and artists from around the world, a "lampworkers village" with the leading artists selling there creations. Pick up handcrafted trinkets, making the ideal Christmas present for your loved ones... or yourself.

Also downstairs is a huge free taster area. The taster area will provide benches set out were anybody can sit down and play with the glass, make beads, pendants or just melt and blob. If you have never made beads or played with hot glass before but wanted to then this was the show for you as you get a chance to sit and play and get tuition from the experienced stewards that are on hand all day. Some bead makers use the Flame Off as a chance to share their tricks of the trade and gain advice and knowledge from other bead makers, meet the faces behind the names on the forums, and just generally get involved and emerse themselves in the world that is beadmaking.

    Why not join them?
