Hello! I need to make diorama boxes for sets of miniature houses I make out of clay. I've thought about using a sardine can but of course it has very serrated edges. Can anyone advise on how best to remove the sharp edges?

apart from the sardine can idea, does anyone have any suggestions for anything else I could use as a diorama box. It needs to be about the size of a sardine can! Thanks for any suggestions. Surely there must be something out there this world that can be recycled!

Some can openers will remove the lids without leaving sharp edges, although not all can cope with corners! There is a post somewhere on the following thread where a Kuhn Rikon opener is praised because it will open corned beef or sardine tins without leaving sharp edges, but I don't know if that is true or not:

What about something like this? It's the plastic lid of the box containing 100 of my business cards. It measures: L 100mm W 65mm D30mm, all outer measurements.

Or a C6 sized 'large letter' packing box with the lid cut off?

Or you could make your own open boxes using card or fold paper origami boxes.
