Advice/fresh ideas needed from fellow crafters...

    Hi everyone,
i recently purchased an old library book box from an oxfam furniture store and have been trying to decide what to do with it. It's very sturdy and well made and I initially thought about putting a glass top on it to make it into some kind of side table which doubles up for storing wool/books/fabrics etc. I thought it may be cool to be able to see what's in it. Then someone suggested putting a solid table top on it and some kind of cushion as extra seating.

Im very much a beginner when it comes to upcycling. I wouldn't really know where to begin when it comes to making a glass top or a cushion :s

i was just wondering if anyone else had any good ideas or tips before I begin experimenting with it! I've attached a picture which I hope you can all see!

    thanks!

Welcome to the forum Sam. I would fill with interesting goodies and put a glass top on it, that way items can be preserved and it would be a focal point in a room.

to the forum. I'm with Caroline, interesting bits and pieces and a glass top would look fabulous. You might be able to buy the glass pre-cut to your size (I don't know for certain, but I think you can) - maybe some other folk will know about that.
