Folding display shelves

I've searched high and low for some 3 tier folding shelves to display my glass on at fairs. Shelves need to be solid - no slats. They need to be lightweight but reasonable in cost. All the ones I've found so far are really expensive.

Been looking on ebay for ages for decent second hand ones but no luck. Does anyone know of a company that sells reasonably priced ones. By that I mean well under £30.

Or does anyone have a decent plan on how to make some.

Someone on here made some last year. Cant for the life of me remember who but another member had some off him I remember that bit. Maybe someone else can remember. In the meanatime I will try to do a search.

Don't think it was me as I've never made a set for someone else. I can remember someone else last year wanting some similar shelving though.

Thank you for the link. Would give it a try but I'm after something that looks like a bookcase. This will save me some room on tables.

I'm looking for them too! I had a bookcase (too big) with that folding system and it was smashing. Can I find smaller versions? Nope. Can I get my OH to make me some. Nope.
I did spot something similar that Robert Dyas was selling as a set of shelves to put in your green house or display plants on. They were too big and heavy....and broken! Who puts broken things out on display to sell, month after month?
Do we need to be thinking out of the box and looking in garden centres?

Last year Drew was making tiered shelves, he's on here and he does woodwork but I can't remember his name on here - Handy Woodcraft or something like that I think. He's friends with me on Facebook though so when I see him on there I'll come back here and post his name for you.

I have some folding corner shelves that I got from The Range, made of Ash I think, I bought the 3 tier corner ones at £25 each, but they do a 3 tier log oblong one for about £35. They're not particularly lightweight but they are very sturdy - I've had mine for ages. The Range do have a website so they might be on there.

Yes It was me Clair thanks for letting me know someone was asking. Quite a few folks from here have had a set or 3 and I think it was me who gave you the idea and details to make the cardboard ones aswell Stephen

I have supplied jam and pickle makers also candle & soap, pet and sewing etc etc. These are designed to be covered with fabric but could be painted to suit a specific colour scheme.

Unfortunatly I cannot make these for under £30 But I can do them for £35 a set & £10P&P I have 1 set made and ready to go. (sorry I havent been on here for a while so not sure if I should have put prices)

Could I make Book case style ones? the answer is yes but again going my the price of raw materials and time to make them then there is little chance of getting the prices anywhere near what people expect to pay for a custom display. I honestly get so frustrated that people want top dollar for their own custom makes but when it comes to displaying their items the thought of paying for a well made solid display brings them out in goosebumps.

I can't use the tiered ones as I need to save space on tables. Some of my glass pieces are large and a bookcase style will save space. I
I've now searched DIY and Garden Centres for folding bookcase and plant stands.

Fingers crossed - Im off to see someone tomorrow about making me some.
