    first hand made felt beret

Hi all, thought I would show off my latest experiment in both worlds...hand made felt and my first blocked beret with said felt.

took me about 6 hours to get this done...and am slightly worried about pricing here ! firstfelted-Beret.jpg
It seems a little thick and stiff, but my "model" Gillian said she loved it and would possibly pay around £60.

Would love some feed back from you all on style and pricing.

i like it, presumably you'll get quicker with each hat so hourly rate should even itself out
perhaps could make flower corsage/brooch for coat lapel to match? x

Beautiful shade of green! It's a wonderful hat - but as to price, I couldn't say.

Thanks for the response every one. Yes I will get quicker, simply because the next one I try will have 4 layers per side and not 6 !

This is a really old thread but I'm new and just finding my way around and saw this. I love the colour, hope you're still making these and maybe have a site?

Looks very good. £60 seems reasonable for a handmade beret. Maybe if you're unsure of what to price, make a couple more first and see how much quicker you are?
