A few weeks ago Frances of Floatingcraft offered some craft magazines to anyone who could collect them. No one took up her offer so as she was able to have them available a few miles from my home I said I would take them for my Craft Club ladies to devour.
Having pre arranged a meeting I arrived to collect them today to discover that they were, in fact, bound volumes of Hobbies Weekly dating back to 1942, have not come across an earlier one yet. They are amazing, Please go to my blog for more details and pics of some of the items, I don't think you will be disappointed. www.Yellowroserhymes.blogspot.co.uk

Really glad you're enjoying them and that they have gone to a good home.

What a lovely collection you have gained! It's always fun looking through old books and magazines!

I did watch ebay before I gave them away, but I never saw any actually sell at that price. I really couldn't be bothered with the listing, packing, posting involved in ebaying them!

I didn't pay anything for them - I rescued from a skip when I worked in a library. I'm just glad they have found a good home that appreciates them - they are amazing books that deserve to be used rather than sit in my loft.
