    Have I done something wrong?

I posted a thread here to let everybody know that you can sell your crafts on my website, I don't think I was doing anything that I'm not allowed to do especially as this section is entitled 'How to Sell my crafts' and I didn't post any link, but nevertheless it was deleted.. and nobody contacted me to let me know!

This seems quite harsh as other new members seem to be let off with a 'slap on the wrists' from the moderaters and their thread left online, even when they are directly advertising themselves!

I'm sorry if this offends anybody, I only joined this forum to make myself some friends.

Sorry i never saw your other thread but if it was as straightforward as you say then no i don't think you done anything wrong. I think it's a case of you needing to build up your contribution to the forum and becoming a fully pledged member first. A lot of spam goes on here so i suppose the mods are playing safe.

If it was a direct request regarding sales or promotion of your website, it would have either been deleted or severely edited by a mod. The rules are quite clear with reference to self promotion, but, as you say, sometimes it seems as if it's 'one law for one etc' - this is usually a mod decision as to whether the 'promotion' is of benefit to forum members, after you have 25 posts you are allowed to self promote, this is to keep out the 'members' who join purely to get google to give them one more link to their website. Sorry if you thought it was 'harsh', but even mods are human and may not get it right all the time, there again, once you get 25 posts up none of this will matter!

I removed it as was to busy to mod its and send a pm ...

Basically I felt it gave no value as a thread post..

Your sig is by far enough and once you increase your rep with members then people will look at your site..

Sorry if it sounds harse but the idea is to have a save and helpful community and not a classifieds...

To get back to the subject, it's understandable to make sure that people don't post spam.
                  Thanks
