Just a little bit of advice if anyone can

I've been trying out a few new crafts and making some bath melts and melt and pour soaps and even some candles (on maternity leave with a baby that sleeps a lot). These turned out very well and me and my family have been very pampered. Yesterday I tried to make some lip balm, I got some little pots to put it in and everything, lol. Anyway I made some with honey and some with vanilla extract but I've noticed that both the honey and vanilla have sunk to the bottom of the pots as if it's not mixed with the oil I used. I wanted to use all natural ingredients and I don't understand why this has happened, anybody got any ideas?
