I am thinking of getting in gear and setting up a shop to sell a few bits that I make - stuff like cards, bags, other sewn odds and sods. So what would be the best place to set up a shop? Folksy, Etsy or Misi? Any tips appreciated!! x

I haven't used etsy yet, but have found there is more traffic to folksy than misi.

I have all three but I do make a lot of stuff! Etsy is my best in terms of sales (just hit 200 on there) but I have had that shop the longest. Folksy is also very good for me (65 sales so far) Misi is excellent for views of my items (into the 100's after being listed for a couple of days) but they don't translate into sales for me over there. Out of Misi and Folksy I would go with Folksy as it looks much more professional and you can sell in pounds. Etsy has a much wider appeal but because of that there is much more competition.Visit my Etsy store http://swirlyarts.etsy.com

I have a Folksy shop but have never set it up properly. I sell regularly on Etsy. Most of my sales come direct from my website.
However, bear in mind that these sales are mostly to the US as they are crochet patterns and the fact that I email them out rather than post them may have a lot to do with this.

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread here but I just wanted to say this was really helpful, as I'd never heard of Misi before I came on here! It looks like just the sort of thing I've been looking for so I'll definitely give it a go. Thanks!Blog: http://brambleandburdock.blogspot.com
