  • Its Huge!!! A New Painting.

I've been commissioned to paint my largest painting yet its a whooping 152cm x 91cm, its about a large as I can handle. The idea has come from a combination of two paintings from my website and with a bit of cutting and pasting on photoshop the design was put together for this one.

Brilliant! Very striking. And that is one huge painting!

A question springs to mind: Do you paint your straight lines freehand or do you use something to help? Just interested as I've had a few problems with horizons in my artwork. I've started drawing them on in waterproof ink first and painting up to the line.

Thanks for the comment. The lines are freehand I just judge by eye, not much help to you I Know. I had a look at your sunsets and they look lovely to me.

That is lovely - it took me awhile to see that there were gold lines on it as well!

Thank you. Yes, its difficult to get the gold across with my photography as it is, it's gold foil, my customer wanted them to give the painting a lift which it does. I think they work quite well as its a broken line.
