  • Counting sheep... new design for the Lackham Country Fair

Just finished a batch of gifts specifically for the craft fair at the "Lambing Weekend" this Saturday organised by DebsB.

Dilemma now is whether (a) I put a nice message relating to the event on them and risk them not being as easy to sell afterwards or (b) putting a general message on them and then they are not as much of a gift to remember the Country Show by.

Decisions, decisions... take a look and see what you think! Any hilarious sheep/lamb related slogans welcome!

    Si.

Theyre really lovely Si, I can understand your dilemma though, decisions indeed (I have a similar decision coming up with the Easter Coconutters in my valley!)

Maybe compromise and do some specific event ones and some general? You could always have your big pad & pen ready to take custom orders if you run out of more of one than the other

They are great Si!! Really love them!

The only thing I can think of has been mentioned already "Here's looking at ewe kid" - And I've not been near the glue, so not sure what my excuse is!?

I think Shaz has got the right idea, about taking orders for custom writing.

Omigod, some of those suggestions are crazy!

I'm still undecided at the moment... I think I quite like the suggestion by Jules best so far but I'll keep packing my bits'n'bobs and have a think while I prepare for the fair.

Good luck Si, hope it all goes okay.

I'd pop over and say hello only we've got an Easter Egg hunt to do tomorrow and then we're off to Bath on Sunday to dodge the Bath half-marathon and go and see the Mr Men at the Theatre Royal.

don't forget to take a hat!

They're great fun Si - ewe just gotta love 'em !! Good luck with the stall.

(p.s. my son went on a trip to see the lackham lambs today - he said they were cute but that the piggies were far 'too smelly' )

Hehe, Toby went on Tuesday. Said he stroked a lamb but had to breathe through his mouth because the barn stank!

Feeling a little dejected as I didn't quite break even for the table cost at the event (and was nowhere near if you take travelling costs into account!)

I only sold one sheepy spatula as well, hohum!

There were a lot of kids who loved some of my pieces but the parents didn't want to open their purses, so a lot of kids went away looking very miserable.

But I did sell my "Beware of the Wife" sign!! lol

                              Si.
