  • Textile Bowl

I made a flat piece of textured felt, then cut the shapes that I needed to stitch together to make this decorative bowl.
    (It's dinner plate size.)

Lovely bright cheery bowl. Is it quite sturdy?

Thank you all for the compliments.

Indri, you can handle the bowl with no worries because even though the textured handmade felt was sturdy, I also backed it (using bondaweb) with a pretty deep-lilac linen-type fabric before I cut out the shapes.

I love the distinctive structural nature of the bowl...

                          Hello Julie
The textured handmade felt was sturdy on its own, but I also backed it (using bondaweb) with a pretty deep-lilac linen-type fabric before I cut out the shapes.
However, it is meant for ornamentation, not use, so it would only be suitable for very light items such as silk scarves.
