    I love the colour of that blue.

    I sometimes use emulsion as a background wash, but I generally use acrylic paint. I varnish both the back and the front of the plaque.

    I really enjoy painting the plaques, I agree with you, it can be very therapeutic.

    Another painted plaque experiment

    here's a bathroom plaque i was having an experiment with.
    At the moment I'm using some left over emulsion I have in the garage and putting a pva glue varnish over the top so the paintwork doesn't mark if bashed. I've tried an acrylic paint but didn't much get on with that.

    What paints do other plaque makers use, I'm really enjoying painting the plaques, it's really therapeutic (maybe that's because it's a change from the pyro??)
