  • Lampshades A Big Thankyou

A really BIG Thank you to Annieanna & Glowingsunsets for all your help in my epic mission to recover the lampshades. I was 'volunteered' by my OH to recover these lampshades, and after many hours suffering 'disentegration' of the original ones this is how they have turned out. All the braiding is handstitched.
A big learning curve, and no, I do not need a recomendation on this project.

Thank you Carol, yes they do look nice and I am rather proud of them. There were 7 in all, hence 'epic' !!

        Brilliant. Well Done!
Being a bit naughty - can you see a difference between the first one and the last? Did you become an expert at the end of your epic?

AnnieAnna yes I could see a difference, but it didn't show that much! I wouldn't say I was an expert, it was more of a labour of love, they were for an elderly couple that we know and to have them recovered professionaly would have cost a small fortune. I am feeling very pleased with myself and knowing that I have made someone else very happy is even better.
After number 3 the handsewing was very relaxing lol.
