What a beautiful baby and an equally beautiful card - I love the fact that it is star shaped - it is so special. I am sure you nephew and his parents will keep it forever. May be one day he will show it to his kids!! Well done!
Thanks for all your lovely comments. I know it's a bit OTT but it's not very often i get to craft for the love of it, most of the cards i make are to sell so it's nice when i get an occasion i can go mad on.
If you can't be OTT when a baby's born when can you be?!
It's really unique and he will treasure it. I know, because my auntie made me a hexagonal shaped letter when I was in hospital as a little girl and did drawings on it in between the words and I can still remember it to this day. I was so chuffed that she'd gone to all that trouble ..... for me. Your nephew will feel the same when he's older.
That is an absolutely amazing card Emma you gotta be proud of that creation wish I had the patience to even attempt something as complicated as that. I'm well impressed

Thanks Nattynetty, i am pleased with it and it really brought back the enjoyment of crafting i why i love it so much. It's funny how crafters really appreciate the work and effort gone into something yet 'normal folk' don't - the reason i say this is my little girls nan called round earlier and i showed her and all she said was 'thats ..........um........different, take up a lot of room on the mantle piece'. It got me down a bit, i don't expect anyone to rave over it but it was hurtfull as she didn't even look at the different sides on it. Never mind, as long as the recipients like it thats all that matters.
Emma,
it's absolutely lovely, and the little angel is adorable (my youngest grandson is 3 now, and i do miss a baby to cuddle).]
Never get brought down by people who don't 'get' what crafting is all about - it's about love. Love of what you do, and love of the people you do it for (well sometimes anyway). Probably had too many glasses of the red stuff so will shut up now
xx
Oh it's gorgeous! I wasn't sure quite what you meant by a star shaped card when you were looking for things for it but it is beautiful!! Have you thought about selling them? They would be quite pricey with all the work but you could sell them as keepsake cards - there would probably be a market for them.
