  • First Piece of the year

Totally lost my Mojo this year but trying to resurrect it. This is a commission piece, the client fell in love with the pearls, they have a wonderful lustre with thick nacre. Always have difficulty with Biwa sticks single drilled as they move around. But this piece as a collar stays in place sitting flat against the neck. The Peach rounds are a few AA pearls I had left over from a previous make.

Thank you both. Pearls are always so difficult to photograph really struggle with it.

Are pearls meant to be worn regularly or they go funny or something? I am a total ignoramus with jewellery so 'scuse what may be a daft question.

I am no expert as I said but somehow those necklaces have both a classy and a primitive look about them to me, that's not a negative thing to me mind, just the combination of the long bits with the pearls reminds me a lot of those bear claw necklaces you see but the pearls are so classical.
Prbably doesn't make sense to you jewellers so ignore me LOL.

Pearls should be worn to keep their natural lustre helped with the natural oils in your skin. Never spray perfume or cosmetics on them though and give them a buff before you put them away. Worth the effort.

Looks fab Mo, I really like the shape of them I have to admit I have never seen any like that before but then again I have not been known to wear much jewellery.

Hi Mo, never been a fan of pearls myself as they always remind me of being in the car as a child with my nan and her heavy pan cake make up, lipstick, perfume and being very, very car sick! ( yes ,i know i am a bit odd!) But i love your design and you do pearls a justice. I have only ever seen pearls as the round shape, in fact i have my nan's pearl necklace in my drawer and it still makes me feel ill, should i seek therapy?!!!
Very beautiful and unusual i really like it.
