  • Preview of some new stuff!!! (exciting!)

haha well i got excited! been experimenting a bit more with things to put into resin... And I just wanted to give you lucky people a sneaky preview of them (they need finishing properly at the moment) If you would like me to reserve any for you just pop a PM my way :}! They'll be finished by wednesday (i hope!) (MOD EDIT) Also some have solder in which is a really nice affect but they're still not set fully so you can't really see them that well at the moment (i got too excited I had to post these NOW! hehe!)
There's one heart one on a chain (MOD EDIT)

    Thanks for looking! I'll be listing these on my new misi account (bubble_pop_eclectic.misi.co.uk) when they're ready!! :}

MOD EDIT: I have edited this post as you cannot activly sell on the forum

They're fantastic! It's great fun experimenting with new ideas. I particularly like the ones with beads and sequins. I'm sure that they will sell really well!

They're really pretty. I like them a lot.

Does silver solder stay shiny, or does it go black eventually like sterling does?
        Best wishes

Could you put photos in them? Would it work? If it did, you could either put in 1 photo, or lots of little photos (almost like confetti, oh, you could use that too!). Would be good for baby photos, pets, wedding favours... Might allow you to sell to some different markets.

            Just an idea!

You could put photo's in but I haven't tried it yet, I did try with some pretty vintage paper but it was layered so some of the wetness went through and it looked a bit blotchy, but I was thinking I could possibly make graduation keyrings or something like that, or if someone wanted something similar could have the persons picture on the front side and then their name and the date of whatever significant thing they wanted on the reverse... ! I think for an opening offer for my new online shop i'm going to sell them 2 for £10 (without chains, I ran out, whoops!) I made SO many I'm having difficulty storing them! So if you're interested in any let me know, or if you have any ideas for a custom request then request it and I will do my best :}!

You could print photos straight onto clear acetate, and then put them into the resin?

I'm just imagining a clear resin pendant with tiny photos of my daughter in it. A bit more subtle than having 1 large photo. Can you tell that I'm still a reasonably newish mother?! How about cufflinks for new dads? My hubby would definitely go for that! Or little bits of maps in cufflinks, etc? (If you did a specific area, it would be a great present for my brother!)

I must stop this! I'm meant to be getting ready for a fair tomorrow!

I think the rectangular and square ones are a perfect size for cufflinks, although not sure where id get custom blanks from to stick them on :/
I was thinking the heart ones could have maps of citys in like paris (I love paris) or new york (i love ny !) its just finding the time and energy to do such things haha! and I guess I should get rid of these before i start making more, I just remembered I have some apple moulds, oooh they would be good with some new york/alice in wonderland related stuff in!

No not a new rule. It's always been there.
You may post pictures of your work and say that they are in your shop or on your site etc. You can not post "this is X much" and "contact me if you want to buy." That is activly selling.
If members of the forum see your work and like it and ask if it is for sale etc then you may contact them by Pm and enter into provate discussions.

posts that activly promote are usually deleted.

Because the resin coats the object it shouldn't allow air to come into contact with the metal and therefore shouldn't tarnish.
