On the weekend, I went to a course at Burton Manor for a silver jewellery course. I would highly recommend the course, the teacher, his book and the manor!

        Yes, in the Wirral

The teacher was Stephen O'Keeffe, who is also an author and quite awesome (sorry to all of you who are silver teachers )

Madly, I'm coming back to the UK for a week soon to my mums in North Wales. Do they do a wire jewellery course at Burton Manor? I've just got into it and would like to learn some new techniques.

They're wonderful! The rings look really old and I mean that in a good way

I wouldn't go for bronze (or rings) either, but you go where the inspiration takes you, right?

I'm not sure if this course would be entirely suitable if you only wanted to learn about wire work - there's a bit of wire work, but it was mostly about soldering techniques etc... the silver ring is made from wire
