  • Silver Clay and Polymer Clay Tribal Pendant

Here's my latest piece it's a 3 layer pendant made from Art Clay Silver (similar to PMC) and Polymer Clay. The bail is a coil of ACS made by wrapping it round a slender straw. The back piece was hand carved then Liver of Sulpher was added to blacken and emphasize the lines.
The top piece is also ACS made on a texture plate then cut to match the backpiece.
Once all the silver was finished I made the centre section from sculpey polymer clay and used sculpey "bake and bond" top and bottom to help it adhere. I've kept this one to test the adhesion but I'm planning more with
rivets as part of the design to make sure the layers all stay together

Hope you like it (sorry about the big pic).
    Nic xx

Yes I got a bit lost there too, but what the heck, still a very stunning piece! Well done. Look forward to seeing more

Glad you like it Helena & Pepsi I looked in your photo album & saw that stripy legged fairy, shes FAB!
Angels & Fairies are some of my favourite things
Linda60 that's so nice of you, if you lived closer I'd be honoured to be your mentor but it wouldn't take long before you were whizzing past me.
Cupcake & Moonbeam Angel, sorry if I'm a bit confusing I sometomes forget not everyone is a "Clay n' Kiln" nut like me, lol. I live that Angel Wings piece in you Album MA and your little black cat looks like a baby version of my very much older rescue cat skittles!
"Seeing More" is also easy I've just popped some more recent makings into my album, I think I'm going to start a new Album so I can put skittles on .

Thanks Autumn Rose! I just had a quick peek at your shop too,
                love the banner image

Thank you Autumn Faerie, Auntynet, Fluffy Squirrel & Trixie...
I don't often post up my "makings" but this was my first go at Polymer Clay & Silver Clay combined.

It's so inspiring to recieve such positive feedback from talented makers & designers like yourselves. Makes the experimentation all worthwhile and keeps me motivated

                          Thanks again!

I love your design but instead of having the worry of the adhesive failing why not use enamel to put the black frame in? The design could then be made in one peace.
