My 1st Feather hair clip

I've been pondering the idea of doing these for ages and being ever impatient I couldn't wait for the feather pad I ordered from America to arrive , so armed with feathers and thread I did my own !!

please bear in mind it's a 1st attempt and I had feather bits up my nose the whole time

If anybody else makes similiar I'd be really grateful for any tips as I've promised myself this winter to improve on them

thank you ., I need to get the hoover out now, it looks like a poulty farm in here now, even the cat got scared of all the feathers and ran off !

The milliners warehouse online is a good place to get feathers and things if you get into doing more

I dunno how you're supposed to do it, but when I made a couple I used some thick felt, stitched the feathers and other things to that, then stuck it onto the clip, folded the edges round the edges of the clip and stitched them together on the inside. Seemed to work...

ohhh I'll try that with the ribbon, they were all stitched on and are still on !!

scorch you never cease to amaze me , is there nothing crafty wise you havn't turned your hand too ?,I bet you cook lovely as well don't you ......?

( and seriously you wouldn't want to see me wearing the clip today, my hair needs washing and I have a spot on my chin ,lol )
