  • My first two cards

Here are my first two cards, I like playing with gold leaf and imitation gold leaf so no surprise it has found a way into my card making.

These are a lot easier to make than many cards I have seen on the forum, but I thought I would have a go and make cards for my closest friends for Christmas.

The thing that doesn't come across is the paper used, it is an imitation vellum made by painting the paper with shellac, it really does look, feel and handle like real vellum.

and the first two verses of In the bleak midwinter...

Thanks for inspiring me to make some cards this Christmas.

    Richard

Really lovely - excellent design - you must have a very steady hand to be able to work with gold leaf like that!

                    Cheers.

What a good start Richard. nice and tasteful too. Not that I'm an authority on cards but. like everyone else, I know what I like when I see it and they are nice.
