  • My very first card!!

I usually make jewllery but really wanted to have a go at making some cards....so i bought some bits and decided to have a go!

I hand drew the design onto some card, coloured it in and then mounted it onto the main card with foam pads, then hand wrote the greeting at the bottom.

I asked on here the best type of pens to use to colour but on this card i had to use felt tips as i didn't have any 'proper' pens and i'm too impatient to wait until i have some!! I also think that i need to put another coloured peice of card behind the pic - but again i didn't have any and nor did i have the patience to wait!!

So here is my very first card, hope you like it? Please let me know what you think - good or bad!!

Sorry its so big - having probs working out how to resize!!
    Thanks x x

I completely agree, everyone on here is sooo friendly and helpful, i've found that 'non crafty' ( ie: my husband!!) are not too forthcoming when talking about crafts!! All i get from him is...'haven't you already made one of those?! - Quite clearly NOT interested!! You are lucky to have a husband that is 'crafty'!!
If i can be of any help with the jewellery making just ask, i've not been doing it for 'that' long but have picked up a few tips and techniques that may help! and like you say - its nice to repay the favours! x

It's lovely, cute and very neatly made, and that's definitely your very first card?! Are you sure you haven't been practising!!! I make cards and I can say that my first card didn't look half as good as that, well done

Great 1st Card - never made any myself only when I was a child, I may try some day - Christmas is a fantastic starting point, your card has got me feeling a little festive already. I really like the colours and simplistic look of the card - it really works well and looks great - well done!
Have you used any sparkle on the card? I can't see that much detail

                          Keep up the great work!
