  • Recycled newspaper art journal

Couple of days ago l saw a newpaper art journal made by Dyan (art from the heart) doing a Christmas wkend class with her at the end of November cant wait.....
Anyway she had seen a video done by Donna Downey..so downloaded it but couldn't open it so did my own version for a new ART JOURNAL

More pics on the shropshire scrappers blog if anyone interested in Art Journals...only got the pages made and a couple of pages started using the new snowflakes dies used the cut off strips ( hate throwing anything away lol) to make the strippy bit have stamped with Tim Holz distress pads
Will be adding some card lettering but not decided on what yet and need a cereal packet to make the cover hadn't got one big enough as the sheets are a quarter of a newspaper in size

Hopefully the new unit will be tidy by the end of today too! hehehe
Hope you like was fun to make and play with

Your journal is fab! I plan to make something similar soon - but using a little chipboard album I bought yesterday.

Thanx both...make another dozen pages last night used gesso this time to make them white so not an shiny as acrylic makes them and more absorbant to coloured mediums...oh and l bought a new permanent fine marker so the drawings dont smudge!!

Made a couple of 8 sheet pages as the cover for journal....almost like cardboard

l know some make all the pages as stiff but l quite like the flexability of the 4 sheet pages and l dont use a brayer either...l like the wrinkly textured effect of just hand pressed and heavy books over night

        few more photos on flickr....
