Thanks fretnot for the great advise

I will post a picture of the finished mirror. May be a little while as It often takes me a long time to start a new project especially if it's something I have never done before.

Hi Julie. I work with many types of wood and for me the best glue is tite bond. There are a few different grades and it comes in a few sizes. Ideally you should clamp the pieces of wood together, after an hour it is safe to take the clamps off, failing that apply pressure with your hands and then leave it undisturbed for an hour.

    Hello
I have been collecting driftwood in order to make a starburst mirror. I have att'd a photo of the kind of thing I would like to achieve. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have never attempted anything like this before.
    Thanks a million.
    Julie
