  • rough sawn oak planks

I have been offered a pile of oak planks approx 9 ft x 3 ft and wondered what I could do with them.? As I am in the garden market I thought maybe window boxes or something like ? Are there specific fixings I would need ? Any inspired ideas greatly appreciated !!!!

You could always courier them up to me, I could make some useful things that you could sell on your site......

You don't say what thickness these boards are, I would suggest that you rip them down the length with a circular saw, if indeed they turn out to be 36" wide ( that's an awfully big tree)

Fixings: avoid any steell fixings - use stainless or at least galvanised fixings, Oak reacts with the ferric content of steel to produce a nasty purple/black stain.
