  • It's arrived, so excited

    whoooo hooooooo
My Peter Child's pyrography machine has arrived this afternoon while I've been out at my son's school helping.

I can't believe it, how exciting. I ordered it on saturday as a b'day pressie to me I've longed for one for months and months and months and now it's finally here.

I've opened the box and it looks fab! The pen thing looks so easy to hold, that was one bug I had woth the solid point - really chuncky to hold!

I can't plug my new machine in at the mo though, will have to wait until the children are in bed! aaaaahhhhhhhhh now it's here I just want to use it. Must wait (repeating in head - must wait must wait!!)

Bound to have questions for the other pyrographers later! lol

I love it when new bits arrive

I usually am halfway to my craft table, with my jacket still on, whilst ripping the package open. I can't wait to try it out, you've got more willpower than me.

        Have fun

I didn't get much of a go last night. My son has a terrible cough accompanied by wheezing so I sat with him most the night.
I had about a 10 minute go and I do like it - the pen is so much easier.
I need lots of practice before I make something though. I spent my 10 mins just drawing lines or doodling my name on some random piece of wood!!

I will post pics of what I make with it, once I get a bit of confidene with it - off to post a request for help as a seperate thread! LOL

haven't made much yet, except for 1 order.
my brother has been critically ill in intensive care so everything went to pot there for a while
Once i've finished varnishing the order I'll put that on here somewhere, and hopefully I'll get back to making stuff sometime this week - storing up new creations in my head at the moment!
