  • ribbon stiffener

    Hi to all ,
I am not sure if i am in the right part of the forum as this site is very complicated to navigate when you are new to it,
but my question is does anybody know how to stiffen satin ribbon bows as i make them for my grandchildren but they seem to flop too much ,i have tried a starch solution but that leaves a film over the ribbon so i would need something that would not leave any staining,
Any help is very much appreciated,
    Thank you
    TONI.

This maybe to late but I use fuseable webbing (Bond-a-web,or Heat-an-Bond)to stiffen fabric to make bows. Its a lot cheeper than buying fancy ribbions,Just iron it on a piece of fabric and cut to size.
