I thought I'd like to try this, and have found some lovely unusual patterns on sale in the US. They are probably very ambitious for a beginner (!) but I'd love to find some similar I can buy in the UK and have a go at. The ones I really like are, I think, called folk art dolls. One company which make some I really like are www.catandthefiddledesigns.com who do epatterns so I could try to get one that way, but I wondered if there was anyone selling something similar in the UK?
Also, does anyone know of a good free pattern (any sort of ragdoll) I can get online which I could maybe try to begin with. I also like the idea of trying to make a flip-flop doll (or topsy-turvy doll?) as use to love them when I was little. Again the only pattern I've found online is at the cat & fiddle site, so if anyone knows of a UK pattern I could find, please let me know.
Are there many doll makers on this site? Thanks, Jo
