  • Paper pheasant

I was messing around with some leftover bits of paper tape from seating chairs, the result was this woven pheasant. Can anyone suggest what I could use to make him some eyes?

It's lovely, I wasn't sure what to expect really, it's great =) I was thinking of wooden buttons or glass beads and then I thought, going along with the paper theme, if you could make some paper beads, rolling a long triangle of paper and making a tube bead and then tying them on with twine? To be quite honest it looks great without eyes =)

I did wonder if you had a couple of eyes made from quilling if you wanted to keep with the paper theme. You don't need any of the fancy quilling gagdets if you don't have them, just tightly roll a narrow paper strip and glue down the end.

My other thought was some sort of beads.

Your pheasant looks great by the way.

Yes, I completely agree with nettie. Leave it without eyes. That would make such a lovely piece for a Thanksgiving table. I'm going to show it to my American in-laws.
