I make morsbags out of recycled fabric. Old duvet covers, curtains etc......

Do a search for morsbags to see what I mean or flikr group morsbags.

Its very addictive. We make bags to then give away for free so people will hopefully use these bags instead of plastic ones. More environmentally friendly.

I've just had a look at their website and I am totally for it.

In fact, I have just registered my own pod (as there wasn't one in my town) and can't wait to get cracking with the ladies from my quilting group.

I'd never heard of these before - what a great idea. They remind me of the bags we used to take to school when I was a little girl (we used to call them tatty-bags).

I reckon my P6/7 class could cope with making these - it would make a great enterprise activity and we could sell them at our school's Christmas craft fair. Better get started now though I can see it taking a while to make sufficient stock
