Just didnt realise i would need it to atatch the body.I made it soft body so all is not lost. Turned out ok-ish !! so now I have done a the head of a fairy wire intact LOL see where this goes from here. See what you think of my first disaster heheheh!!! She needs glitter now

That's looking lovely, though I do find the head on its own a little freaky. It doesn't look like a disaster to me!

Thanks Jo and Indri, I have been bitten by the clay bug and cant stop now. I will have a tree full of Angels and Fairies ha! Think I will have a go at some santas and snowmen. doing some research I saw a sculpt of Jack Sparrow (Pirate) and would really like a go at that, Watch this space. Will share my disasters, and maybe some small success haha!

The Bite of the Clay Bug!

You've got bit real good. I recognize the symptoms. You did some stuff and realized it was good - couldn't stop looking at it from different angles for hours on end. Other people see your stuff - also tell you its great (which it is). You do more stuff, experiment with different mediums. You get even more confident with each project. Before you know it you you really believe in yourself - you start making a bit of money here and there... then a real new chapter begins.

I started with icing cakes for the kids, then on to sculpey, then onto plastiline, then onto ceramic clay and .... well there's no stopping once it starts. Its a bug alright - but a nice one.

Well I think she's fabulous! We all live and learn from our mistakes but mine are usually much more major than yours *remembers overcooking first fimo sculpture at 180 degrees and filling house with poisonous fumes...* Your fairies are really special and I bet your tree looks fab!!
