  • Making Polymer Clay stick on wood

    Hi

I´m trying to make easter eggs with polymer clay. I´m using Fimo on a wooden egg. There is just one problem,- the Fimo wont stick on it. Does anyone know what to do ? Any tricks ? Hope someone can help me
    Best regards

Hmmm not 100% sure. Depending on how you're designing your egg, would you be able to bake your clay then stick it to your egg with superglue?

Are you planning to bake the egg onto the wood? If so, I think you would have to seal the wood first. I'm wondering if something like modge podge would work.

Silicone glue or clear silicone sealant. I've come across gas fires sealed into marble surrounds with the stuff and the marble break before the silicone trying to get the fire out!

          Hi Hanne
You could try Sculpey liquid. I watched a YouTube tutorial that showed you how to stick polymer clay cane slices to wooden beads.
          Hope this helps 👍🏾

Yes, liquid clay will work. I have used it many times to adhere polymer clay to canvas.
