    Heyyyyyyyy peeps

    i have just discovered the wonderful world of fimoooooo.....

    I have made some bits and varnished them and they look wonderful however i want to make a little mold so i can make impressions of other little things....

    Should i use 2 part putty thing, ive seen them for sale on ebay but im not sure?

    Welcome to the world of polymer clay - isn't it addictive!

    Yes - you can use 2 part moulding materials for making your moulds.These will give you flexible moulds which can be very useful at times.

    I have to say though,for general pushmoulds, I just use scrap polymer clay. This makes for a more rigid mould, which works better for pushing the clay into than the flexible ones IMO. It also works out cheaper too.

      it sooooooooooo is....lol

      i did think bout using the waste fimo....hmmmm..... so i push it in and then bake the impression?

        Basically - yes

        I use a plain glazed ceramic tile and place a blob of Fimo onto that. Spray it with water or dust over with some talc and then push in the object you want to mould, making sure you have no undercuts. Then remove the object carefully and put the whole tile into the oven to bake the clay mould.

        Simples!
