  • Painting Card Masks

I've been making Fedora Paper House rabbit masks from 250gsm card for a play, and so far I've been spraying them with enamel, which has done a good job of both protecting and re-enforcing them. However, it's expensive and takes several layers to properly cover; what's the cheapest, best way to do this on a budget? I assume I can just use pots of enamel, but I wanted to know if an oil-based emulsion would help or weaken the masks, and also wondered about acrylics? All advice welcome.

    Thanks in advance.
