  • Can anyone help me with this part of the pattern please?

Hi, I'm knitting a baby dress and am stuck with this, I'm on the fourth row of the back, the first two rows were stocking stitch, then a row of picot edging - *K2 tog Y fwd repeat, now it's telling me to *K 1st stitch on needle together with corresponding cast on loop; rep from * to end.
If some kind soul could explain this to me I'd be very grateful please, many thanks.

Yes. The corresponding cast on loop means that you look at the first row where you cast on - right at the very bottom of your little bit of knitting - and pick up that little loop directly underneath or should I say 'level with' the stitch you have just put your needle through at the top. What you are doing is making the casting on edge fall in pretty little bumps all along the article.
I hope that is a bit clearer.
