    Hello

    Am an experienced knitter by hand and am offering my services for anyone wishing to learn to knit in the Stoke on Trent, area....

    There is a venue already above a store in LOngton on Saturday afternoons and also a new one to be set up soon..

    Price is for needles, wool and pattern ... plus tutition... for each 2 hrly session ... £5 each... and you get to take your project home with you ... plus as many hot drinks and biscuits as you require.

    Also can offer pattern reading, intarsia / motif designing and different stitches...

    Sounds daft but do you anyone who knows how to do rag rugging as i am intrested in doing that! x

      What sort of rag rugging are you interested in?

      Braiding, hooking, locker-hooking, proddy, pegloomed, two-string knotted, shirred, woven ... shall I go on?

        Lol! you do indeed know your stuff! I would love to learn how to knit my nan taught me when i was a child but not to cast on or off and only the basic stich. Pity you live so far from me as i would jump at the chance!

                There are picture tutorials for casting on and off in let's knit/simply knitting magazine every month. If you don't want to buy a copy yourself (think they are a fiver a copy but usually have some kind of freebie with them and lots of patterns) then i don't mind sending you the pages in question. Simply knitting have pdfs available on their website as well apparently. (notmlooked at them myself but they advertise it in their mag)
                The pics look reasonable to follow to me.
